“Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.”
Isaiah 64:8
Today I wanted to begin with where the name Remarkably Made came from. My daughter is talented in art and enjoys painting, drawing, and making crafts. I am not as talented in that area. But I enjoy the time I spend crafting with her. Our time of crafting together has increased my interest in doing art on my own. I am beginning to see art in a new light. Sometimes the beauty in the art is not always in the final piece but also the process. In the process, we learn about what the artist sees, the medium they chose, and the technique applied. You can look back and see a piece of the artist, a reflection of them, a window into what was happening in the scene. Artwork is amazing and we are God’s work of art, His remarkable creation!
The Process
We are created in God’s image to worship and glorify Him. Our lives can be a testimony to God’s goodness and grace showcasing what He can do. I am learning that our walk with the Lord is a process much as is some works of art, the process can take time. As the Lord works in our lives, He is shaping and cultivating us to be who He sees, ones who are fearfully and wonderfully made. As the artist, the Lord can see the final picture. But we are the work of art in progress, we have to trust the Lord, that He is fashioning and making us into something remarkable.
Looking back, I can see my love of art had to grow, it had to mature, it had to be cultivated, just like my walk with the Lord. I encourage all of you to start where you are, read the Bible, and pray. Start small and watch as the Lord moves little by little and you will see Him do remarkable things in your life!
